Site of the home of Marjorie R. and Louis J. Baroni, who hosted scores of activists, journalists, and volunteers arriving in Natchez during the 1960-70s to help Black community members register to vote during the country’s Civil Rights struggle.  Inspired by a deep spirituality, and with the support of her husband and six children, Marjorie embraced an abiding belief in the dignity of all people.  She dedicated most of her adult life as a White Catholic woman to working tirelessly against an entrenched closed society.  In so doing she  helped improve the lives of all Mississippians, the Natchez community, and especially the Black citizens of Adams and Jefferson Counties.
